Thoughts and Dreams of a Labruskie

All About An Indi Dog

I'm a Husky/Retriever Cross with a quizical expression.(Does that make me a Labruskie or a Husktriever) I came to live with my owners from Manchester on 24 November 2008. My family is two humans B & P, assorted wildlife, extended family humans and lots and lots of fish!!

Welcome to My World

Welcome to my New Site - I hope you like it! Keep up to date with all my adventures or check out my rated walkies suggestions If you would like to leave me a message please remember it doesn't appear right away as I have to do something called moderating - it is a bit like chewing - to make sure nothing in your comments will be worrying to a little pup!

Meany humans!

Well, I'm feeling a bit sore this evening!

I woke early this morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed as they say. Even got taken by B for an early morning walk. That was unusual, I should have smelled a rat!

One quick car journey to see those nice friendly vets, a bit of traffic in the road works but hey ho, lots of passer bys to woof at.

Get in the vets and get left with the nice vet - I'm having a little sleep and an operation I'm told. I DO NOT like the sounds of that I thought, and rightly so. Poor B did say she felt mean leaving me, but she still did it!

I did howl a bit as I don't like getting left by either B or P. Anyway wake up later minus my boy bits - and a bit sore and tender. Now I galloped out when P came to pick me up. I was so happy to see him.

I've been good so far, so I'm told. I don't have to wear a 'lamp shade' but P keeps telling me off when I start licking the sore bits (well a dog's got to do it - it is very sore).

Anyway just come in from the cold dark garden and I've done some good woofing and howling (despite B telling off). Off to bed to sleep off this itch and soreness.

maybe lick ya laters.

Tired pup's travels continue

Well knackered still after yesterdays travelling and adventures P decides to take me to Liverpool with him today!

Slept most of the way in the car to arrive at P's brothers all tired and didn't want to get out of the car. Stumbled out and reluctantly went into K's house and grumped at a couple of local scouse cats in the garden. Cheeky blighters just looked at me. I was really too tired to bother!

I met some new friends today as well, K's neighbour came over for a chat and a stroke and told me how well behaved I am (didn't have the energy to get up to any mischief today really!). We went off to P&K's Uncles house and met more relatives - all this fuss over a little pupling could go to my head being spoilt and told how nice I am.

Also had a drag around Crosby Marina and saw the strange metal men on the beach. I don't know who was more tired me or P?

Well I'm home now, for now anyway, so off to sleep and recover ready for tomorrows trip to Sandbach!

Lots of snuffs and licks,

Indi

Wet and wild on Angelsey

Had a puptastic day yesterday we went on a road trip to Anglesey and I got to play on what is possibly the bestest beach in the world - Lligwy!! - not so much a walkie as an ultimate destination

In between eating my own body weight in sand! I played with my fab new frisbie and ran and invented a new swimming stroke called the 'Dogpoise' which similar to a porpoise means jumping in an arching movement across the great plunge pool we found! B and P said they didn't fancy a paddle but between you and me they don't know what they missed!! (well actually they probably did cos when a pups got to shake himself dry a pups gotta shake himself!) It was a very busy day and I snored all the way home!

Hope you like my piccies

Considering the Plunge Pool (look at that empty beach!!)

P and me wondering what B is taking a picture of - turned out to be us!

Crossing the river - for some reason P didn't fancy the splashing through it approach!

Of Walkies and Water Fights

Have had a fab couple of days went for a pack walkie on Saturday with Bailey, Amber and Ben in Formby - ran me little legs off!

Then on Monday Phil and I went for a mamoth hike - B took me and P in the car to Haigh Hall and then we walked all the way back through the woods and along the road - it was a fab walkie - when I got home B put my bed out on the patio and as you can see from the piccie I relaxed nicely.

After I had been snoozing and sunbathing I noticed B was up to something interesting with a squirty water thing. After a bit of doggy detective work I discovered one of life's great fun things! High powered squirty water - it tingles on the teeth and makes you flap your ears with the drips!!
Off to get up to trouble!! Lick Ya Laters

Pup in the wars

OK not sure what is going on here at the moment - B says it is puberty! - but I am certainly in the wars at the moment! Not content with my limp I got into a bit of a scrap on Sunday with a naughty Jack Russel up at Cuerden Valley and after it was all over P noticed I had lost my dew claw. Needless to say I didn't mind too much - a good opportunity to have a legitimate paddle or seven!! Lily and P and B patched me up nicely and I have been since enduring regular foot washing and liberal application of a nasty cream.

Speaking of cream it offends my sensibilities so I have taken to burying it but B keeps finding it! So far I have hidden it in the office, in B&P's bed and in the veg patch - if you have any ideas where I can hide it so it wont be found tell me!!

Happily I am on the mend and being a good boy and not chewing it - B has threatened to put me in a special collar - I have seen it and it isn't very trendy so will behave and not have to wear it!!

Off to look hopefully at my treat jar!!

Snuff Ya Laters

Poorley Pup

Am a fed up Pup this week - I have had a bit of a limp for a couple of days and B decided that I needed to go and see my friends at the Vets for a check up. I was a very good boy in the waiting room and sat nicely - well actually I was a little bit bored so I had a little nap while I was waiting on my back with paws in the air (well when you have an achey leg it is best to keep it elevated!) When I went in to see the nice Vet I refused to limp - well I wanted to impress her - and despite poor B looking like a reject from Crufts in the waiting room I didn't limp once.

I then had a big snuggle with the nice vet - well it pays to get a quick lick in when you can - while she looked at my leg - I have a pulled shoulder and have been growing so fast that I have out grown bits of my leg.

However I went off the vet when she said that I am not allowed Ball chucker fun for two whole weeks - how unfair is that!!!!

So now I am meant to be resting with no leaping or wild running - yeah right I am a wild child 6 month old pup - dont fancy your chances B & P

Off to see if I can sneak a stick into the house past P ;-)

Snuff Ya Laters!

Walkies with Fairys

Busy busy day for a little pup! Today I went to stay with Auntie Ellie as B & P were both in the office. B's Mum and I went for a very long walkie to a place I have never been (although B and P have apparently!) called Fairy Glen - it was mostly one of the best places I have ever been! I was quite a good boy, walked nicely for the main part until the desire to hit the slutch over powered me and I found a particularily mouth watering patch- I only went in up to my knees (well if I had knees that is) At the other end of the walk I had a surprise and went to meet two friends of B's Mum called Margo and Gerald - apparently they owned the mummy and daddy of B's first ever doggy who was called Kim.

After lots of admiring and snuggles we set off back through Fairy Glen. I was a really tired boy!

later that afternoon - before B and P came to get me - I thought I would do some helping with the old weeding and saw a little green shoot in a pot and pulled it out - ooops didn't realise it was something that was meant to be growing specially - luckily B's Mum saw the funny side of it and so I was lucky not to have this furry tail sawn off!

Then B & P came and were staying for tea (yes I eat when I am at Auntie Ellie's) so Ellie and I played tuggy - she needed a human to help hold her end though cos she is a bit wobbly - I really liked to play tuggy with her though.

After helping to eat some orangey things ( I love Orangey things) which Ellie and I sat nicely for we came home! I have to say I love going to Auntie Ellie's but I also love to come home and see all my toys especially my new bone!

I have to do a quick circuit of the house to make sure that those Gerbils haven't escaped and been having a party with my toys!

Snoozy time now - snuff you laters

My New Dinner Campaign

Right Puppy supporters I need your help - I dont like my dinner anymore - even with gravy on it! I would much rather have the tasty things that B and P eat that smells so nice at tea time. So I have decided not to eat my food in the hopes that something tasty will appear rather than my Bakers puppy food.

Now B says that it is tough and this is all I am going to get - as unless I can proove I have an allergy we are not swapping! - (although she has tried by making me nice gravy which I just lick up round the dinner) which I dont think is fair!!!!

In order to aid my cause I need you to put a comment under this post as B says should I get 5 then she will consider trying a different menu (hopefully one that includes sausages and roast beef!)

I thank you in advance
