Thoughts and Dreams of a Labruskie

All About An Indi Dog

I'm a Husky/Retriever Cross with a quizical expression.(Does that make me a Labruskie or a Husktriever) I came to live with my owners from Manchester on 24 November 2008. My family is two humans B & P, assorted wildlife, extended family humans and lots and lots of fish!!

Welcome to My World

Welcome to my New Site - I hope you like it! Keep up to date with all my adventures or check out my rated walkies suggestions If you would like to leave me a message please remember it doesn't appear right away as I have to do something called moderating - it is a bit like chewing - to make sure nothing in your comments will be worrying to a little pup!

SNOW!!!

Yipeeeeeeeeee it is snowy. Ok it isn't deep snow but it is snuffable and biteable and jump about on with crunchie noises able - and that my friends is just good enough for me.

Plus B says maybe it will snow some more soon (and we dont want to get too snowed up as Uncle Keith is in Liverpool with his poorley leg)

It started snowing on my walkie yesterday and as you can see I was very excited by it - have you ever seen a doggy laugh before!! well you have now!

I LOVE snow! it speaks to the very centre of me - can I go out and play in it now please B & P please!!!
a little bit later . . . . .
HURRAH - I GOT TO GO A NICE WALKIE IN THE SNOW - CHECK OUT THE SLIDESHOW TO SEE ME HAVING FUN!!!!!

Considerations of a Puppy Kind

Hmm it has been a funny old couple of weeks - Uncle Keith had a bit of an accident and has a poorly leg ( I have tried to lick it better a few times but for some reason this is not encouraged!) So P and B have been very busy travelling back and forth to Liverpool and so I have had to be a very good pup and sit nicely in the back of the car - it is all a bit boring to be honest so I have asked Father Christmas for a new leg for him instead of a list of toys for me - (although Father Christmas if you are reading this I would like a new Squeaky man to play with if you have room in your sack)

It hasn't all been bad though I did get to celebrate a whole 12months as a Hughes (we went for a nice walkie and i shredded a toilet roll middle and then I played hide and seek) AND being down in Liverpool does mean I get to go walkies at Burbo Bank (where the weird metal men are I am really not sure of them and run past just incase!) which is one of my fav places cos even when the tide is in and I can't chase seagulls there is a great walk through the dunes - I even met Amber and Bailey and Ben there last weekend!

I have also improved at my fav game - Squeaky Hide and Seek - now when I was a tiny puppy I needed someone to squeak the toy so I could find it, but now someone hides the toy while i dont look and then when they shout FIND IT I race round the house looking and using my nose - clever huh! Now the problem is I am getting soo good that the Humans are hiding it in harder and harder places and often I have to solve a puzzel to get it back and even if I cry they dont come and help me get it back (now isn't that mean!!)

AND now I have a really important job - that of helping B & P wrap up christmas pressies - it is a very important job - I have to snuff each item, help smooth the paper by lying on it and finally deposit vast quanties of fluff onto the selotape just so people know it was wrapped with love!

Right off now to check my toy collection - just incase one of them has been hidden - they do that you know - pinch my toys when I am not looking and hide them but I dont mind too much because I LOVE to play Hide and Seek
