Thoughts and Dreams of a Labruskie

All About An Indi Dog

I'm a Husky/Retriever Cross with a quizical expression.(Does that make me a Labruskie or a Husktriever) I came to live with my owners from Manchester on 24 November 2008. My family is two humans B & P, assorted wildlife, extended family humans and lots and lots of fish!!

Welcome to My World

Welcome to my New Site - I hope you like it! Keep up to date with all my adventures or check out my rated walkies suggestions If you would like to leave me a message please remember it doesn't appear right away as I have to do something called moderating - it is a bit like chewing - to make sure nothing in your comments will be worrying to a little pup!

From Beech Hill to Appley Bridge on a Sunday morning

I thought it was going to be a normal Sunday morning when I woke B & P up this morning but it seems there were plans to walk my feet off!

We were off on an adventure to find the route from our house to Nana's or forge the northwest passage as P called it. We started off in foggy woods and then through to Wood with no Name - a quick sniff at some passing doggies and we were on the path. We walked right along Standish Wood Lane, there were lots of exciting smells that needed sniffing and I was chief trail finder so I had to be up front sniffin' out the route.

Then we turned onto Beech Walk - lots of nice houses and a friendly doggy to wave me tail at - down the long hill we went - lots of important sniffing for a trail blaizing pup! At the sign that told us about Standish Hall we turned right and struck out across the field (apparently this was a bit of a wrong turn but we ended up on the right path eventually) met a very nice labrador and his owners to have a bit of a bounce with and then off down the road - past a mouth watering pond but wasn't alowed to swim, and into Elnup Woods and guess what - while I was getting stuck in the river and B was rescuing me (oops) who should come along but Indie and Jo from puppy classes - Indie and I had a great race round (although he bounced me over a couple of times) we played tag, stick wrestling and even a bit of stream dipping! It was great to see him (and Jo) again

Then we were off again passed B's old school - had to be on my lead but I didn't mind too much as I was a bit tired by then. Took the path opposite the school and headed off towards the motorway - P didn't like being on the bridge so we didn't hang around to watch the cars for long. Then we were on the home stretch - down through the muddy plantation and finally up through Auntie Ellie's Bluebell Wood to Nana's house - just in time for lunch and well earned snooze. I was very glad when Nana got out the car keys and I got to ride home.

Am a bush wacked pup this evening - can hardly keep my furry eyes open and me old war wound (slightly pulled shoulder) is playing up a bit - think I will just take a little snooze **yawn** before bed!
