Thoughts and Dreams of a Labruskie

All About An Indi Dog

I'm a Husky/Retriever Cross with a quizical expression.(Does that make me a Labruskie or a Husktriever) I came to live with my owners from Manchester on 24 November 2008. My family is two humans B & P, assorted wildlife, extended family humans and lots and lots of fish!!

Welcome to My World

Welcome to my New Site - I hope you like it! Keep up to date with all my adventures or check out my rated walkies suggestions If you would like to leave me a message please remember it doesn't appear right away as I have to do something called moderating - it is a bit like chewing - to make sure nothing in your comments will be worrying to a little pup!

Holiday Puppy

Sorry I haven't been around to Blog recently but this little puppies life took an exciting turn recently when I went on my first ever holiday!! and have been stretching my furry paws on the high roads, low roads and beaches of Wales. I now want to move to the seaside - not sure if I can pursuade B and P though!

As well as me and B and P there was Nana Popty (on account of her bun making prowess) Dubadee, Sarah, Mark and Lily and we had a great couple of weeks playing and walking and seeing the sights!

If all that wasn't enough there were doggies who lived where we were staying and I made great friends with them especially Sassy - P says she was my holiday romance but I am far to young to know what that means!!

Things I learnt to do on holiday:

Rescuing surfers - I am not sure what the reason is that people go off and and lay on little floaty boards but I felt it was my responsibility to wade and on occasions swim out to said floaty boards and look at them hard before showing them the way back in to shore (B said I was a menace as she ended up under the water as I tried to rescue her!)

Mamoth Hole Digging - Now I have never really been much of a digger - a few experimental holes on the flowerbed but here I was with acres of of pristine beach and I just had to dig and dig until I was just a tip of a tail sticking out. Memo to self re holes - remember where you dug your hole cos falling in it when chasing ball later is both a bit painful and results in hysteria from the rest of the pack.

Jumping on and off walls - Yes there were steps up onto the top garden but once Sassy showed me how it was much more fun to hurl myself like a demented wallabie up and down the wall that surrounded it.

Diving - Those of you who follow my blog will know I only learnt to swim a few months ago - well I took it a bit further in the river and began to dive for rocks, pebbles and any old bits of drift wood drifting by! Some passing humans were under the impression I was a seal so impressed where they by my prowess!

Ah yes it was a great holiday - when are we going back then?
